Position Description: Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) Level I
YONERGY has a need for a REM Level I who will work on-site at the customer's facilities supporting assigned energy programs per the Energy Program Manager. The REM I will support the installation energy manager (IEM) in carrying out assigned energy programs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Conducting energy audits
-
Review and analysis of utility metering and billing data
-
Identifying and developing energy conservation measures (ECMs)
-
Preparing life cycle cost analyses (LCA) and project documentation
-
Developing energy management projects
-
Recommending O&M improvements
-
Collect and analyze data, including creating reports.
-
Conducting energy awareness and training activities
-
Conducting measurement and verification services
Basic Required Qualifications for Skills, Experience, Education, and Credentials include: (must meet one of the following)
-
A four-year engineering degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) with a minimum of three years of experience in energy management.
-
An Environmental Science, business, or related degree with a minimum of five years of experience in energy management.
-
A two-year technical degree with a minimum of eight years of experience in energy management.
-
A non-degreed REM with a minimum of ten years of experience in energy management.
-
Must possess or be able to obtain Certified Energy Management (CEM) certification within the first employment year.

Minimum Required Qualifications for Skills, Experience, Education, and Credentials include:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering plus five (5) years of energy management experience is required.

A non-engineering bachelor's degree with eight (8) years of energy management experience, or a technical two-year degree with ten (10) years of energy management experience, or no degree with twelve (12) years of energy management experience may be substituted for the required bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Must possess or be able to obtain Certified Energy Management (CEM) certification within the first employment year.
-
Strong verbal/written communication skills, with an ability to facilitate open communication, are required.
-
Proven organization and project management skills are required.
-
Critical thinking and decision-making skills, coupled with strong analysis and problem-solving skills, are required.

Self-starter, driven, and able to work with limited direction under target timelines.
-
Collaborative personality, able to work effectively in a team environment.
-
Adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced and unstructured environment.

Working knowledge of standard office computer software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.

Knowledge and experience with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and technologies is highly preferred.

Ability to audit complex systems, diagnose inefficiencies, and develop practical solutions is highly preferred.

Ability to conduct fieldwork to field-check problems and energy conservation opportunities is highly preferred.

Knowledge of the federal energy program is highly preferred.
